Bristol Grain & Supply Co. (for all your grain needs..")

The Eldorado Diner. Sat in
front part of the Bristol Plaza. Classic art deco favorite of it's time.
It was moved sometime in the 70's to New Britain somewhere, legend has it.

NEW DEPARTURE

New Departure once had it's own
police force, marching band, and sports teams. Taxicabs were made at the Bristol
plant.
Albert Rockwell, a founder, later donated land to the city (Rockwell Park) and
also founded the Yellow Taxicab Co. in New York.

Only traces remain today of the mighty ND "city within a city". This was an era of US manufacturing at its finest and when the only thing you'd find made in China was tea.
